Nature & Green Space

In the borough of Greenwich there are over 50 parks of every size and shape. There is a mixture of formal gardens, wildflower meadows and woods to explore. The Park Ranger Service provides slide shows and guided walks through a variety of Greenwich Parks (including tours of the animal enclosure at Maryon Wilson Park). For the more adventurous you can take a Green Chain Walk, with its network of footpaths that runs across the central, eastern and southern parks of the borough, there are plenty of routes to explore.

Greenwich Park

Greenwich Park is London’s oldest royal park affords a panoramic view of London from the top of the hill. Amid the rolling landscape are tress planted by Charles II in the 1660s, lovely formal gardens, a deer enclosure and play grounds.
